SSGI is an approved PMI ® R.E.P.. PMI® is a registered mark of the Project Management Institute, Inc.

When it comes to Lean Six Sigma certification/training make sure the training you receive is on-par with industry standards. Secondly, the certification that you receive should be from a recognized institution that is trusted within industry. It’s one thing to get certified, but what matters most to employers is that you have the adequate experience, skills and knowledge to implement what you’ve learned. So make sure the training focuses on applications not just statistics.

At Six Sigma Global Institute (SSGI), training programs have been developed by Professor Barry Shore PhD. Dr. Shore has over 30 years of experience as a professor at the University of New Hampshire and has consulted with organizations around the world. He is an acclaimed expert in the field of process improvement and has the experience and credentials to back it up

PMI is the most recognized professional governing body in industry for project management related training. PMI is a non-profit organization that maintains high standards through an extensive accreditation process. In order to become approved, organizations must undergo a thorough review of their training, instructors, and materials to ensure they are aligned to PMI standards.

SHRM-Recertification-Provider

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM® Recertification Provider)

Six Sigma Global Institute has also been approved by the Society for Human Resource Management, SHRM, as a Recertification Provider. The approval covers SSGI’s training programs for Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, Master Black Belt, Healthcare Green Belt, Project Management, Scrum Master, Diversity and Inclusion Yellow Belt and Data Analytics courses. All programs have been preapproved for PDCs (professional development credits) to apply towards SHRM recertification. 7. Do Your Research. There is no “official” Six Sigma governing body

Unlike PMI® for Project Management, there is no Official Governing Body for Six Sigma.

When it comes to Lean Six Sigma accreditation there is no official governing body. In fact, we urge you to do your own research on Google when it comes to specific websites that claim to be “official” accreditation or governing bodies for Six Sigma. Some of these organizations (we will not name them) and their owner(s) have gone to extreme measures to make false, defamatory, and/or deceptive statements towards various Six Sigma training providers. These attacks are nothing more than an attempt to harm the reputation of their competitors.

One credential that you should take into consideration, is Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) R.E.P. approval. This is one of the most trustworthy approvals in industry for any project management related training as providers and their curriculum must go through a strict review and accreditation process in order to get approved.
